The Islamic -Islamic Dialogue Conference held last week is a milestone in the process of strengthening unity and solidarity among Muslims, which is one of the fundamental principles in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “The believer for the believer is like a building.” The joint of the Islamic nation at the political level to confront external challenges and foreign interventions, and at the social level to contribute to reducing sectarian conflicts and achieving societal peace, and at the economic level, encouraging trade exchange and cooperation in resources and achieving economic integration between Islamic countries.
From this standpoint, this conference carried many recommendations that highlight the importance of Islamic unity, and to enhance the culture of dialogue away from the ideological controversy that deepens the differences, and to face common challenges after concluding its activities with the wide participation of thinkers and religious scholars from different Islamic countries, and attending prominent personalities such as Sheikh Al -Azhar, Imam Dr. Ahmed Al -Tayeb, and despite the importance of these recommendations, we hope that this vision will turn into policies Concrete. If there is a presentation of clear mechanisms to implement these recommendations such as: The establishment of an Islamic dialogue follow -up body that includes scientists, thinkers and politicians from various Islamic countries to develop time plans for implementation, and to submit an annual report on the extent of achieved progress and cooperation with research institutions to develop applicable strategies in fields Political, economic and social. In recent years, the Islamic world has witnessed sharp divisions, whether at the political or sectarian level. Therefore, calling on the conference to “Developing secondary differences under the umbrella of the Islamic brotherhood” appears ambitious.
On the other hand, among the prominent points that the conference came out is to emphasize supporting the Palestinian issue and resisting the occupation .. This call is not new, but it acquires increasing importance in light of the recent geopolitical developments, in addition to that the recommendations also touched on the necessity of “unifying efforts to confront poverty and extremism”, These are basic issues that Islamic societies suffer in accordance with the statistics of the World Bank. More than 30% of the population of Islamic countries live below the poverty line while confirming United Nations reports that extremist groups are taking advantage of these conditions to attract young people, so the recommendation to review the “intellectual and cultural heritage” to confront extremist thought seems necessary and requires a clear practical vision that includes reforming educational curricula, enhancing the role of religious institutions in spreading moderation discourse, and providing economic opportunities for young people.
The conference also pointed to the importance of the role of women and youth, calling for the adoption of a new strategy that reflects their aspirations and their vision of the future of Islam in a changing world, specifically the technological and digital world, and despite the importance of this call, the representation of women in religious bodies and jurisprudential councils is still limited, which imposes a real challenge to achieve this Recommendations on the ground.
The announcement of the General Secretariat of the Muslim Wise Council also stated that it will continue to implement the conference decisions with the preparation for the organization of the second edition in Cairo in coordination with Al -Azhar Al -Sharif, this commitment is a positive indication of the seriousness of the conference and with good signs in translating recommendations into practical steps, as the success of these initiatives remains dependent on their ability to overcome Political and sectarian challenges and transform the “culture of understanding” into concrete policies that contribute to building more Islamic societies Stability and unity, the goal that the Kingdom of Bahrain worked on and stressed it strongly by holding this conference and a success of all its components.
On the corner of the Naisiyah, and from this standpoint, the wheel of progress in Bahrain does not stop, as there is a permanent investment in innovation, optimal exploitation of time, and a continuous achievement of achievements. Thanks to the vision of its wise leadership and the permanent commitment of its people to progress, the country witnesses a series of continuous activities and achievements that reflect the spirit of determination and progress through social, sports, medical, cultural, and political activities that highlight Bahrain as a dynamic center that enhances investment in human energies where Bahrain remains a unique model For continuous success in various fields, including the Islamic -Islamic Dialogue Conference, Sports Day and celebration With collective marriage and Bahrain Gardens Exhibition, Bahrain was distinguished in medical treatment such as sickle cell anemia and Bahrain winning the chairmanship of the Asian Parliamentary Association for the next session 2026 all this in a short time and in a few days it was achieved last week, so congratulations to you, our Bahrain.
