Youssef Abu Saif, Executive Director of Uber in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, said that Uber has been working in Egypt for more than 10 years, with 7.4 billion pounds in the Egyptian market.

He added during a press conference for the company, that 8.4 million hours were provided a year, stressing the importance of the Egyptian market for Ub.
He stated that Egypt was the first to launch Uber Shetel, stressing that steps such as the audio recording of trips, emergency button and random analysis of drivers for safety and security were implemented in 2024.
Uber achieved globally in 2024 revenues of more than 43.9 billion dollars, while revenues in the last quarter of the year recorded about 11.96 billion, an increase of 20% compared to the same period in the previous year, according to a company statement this month.
However, the company witnessed an increase in costs and expenses by 20.5%, which led to a decrease in operational income.
For the first quarter of 2025, the company expects total reservations between 42 billion dollars and 43.5 billion dollars, including an effect of about 5.5% due to the strong dollar.
