Google has launched its alert to all “Gmail” users, whose number exceeds 1.8 billion user accounts regarding the presence of a piracy campaign targeting user data, accessing and stealing their accounts, which requires caution.
Its users also called for many precautionary steps, to avoid the widespread piracy campaign.
The piracy campaign included receiving a phone call asking the user to share his data for the “Gmail” account, given the monitoring of a suspicious activity on the user’s email account.
The user shares his own account data to solve the problem, as he thinks, but his data falls prey in the hands of web pirates.
Fake sites for stealing data
Web pirates published a fake site created by infiltrators and the site is similar to the Google page, which works to confirm the user data through it.
Immediately, the user data and its “Gmail” account are stolen and not only the user’s e -mail, but all the services and applications associated with it are stolen and the hacking process.
The Maluerbets company, which specializes in detecting malicious software, published a report that shows the danger of piracy campaigns, and also confirms that these applications cause heavy financial losses, in addition to damaging the reputation of applications and technological companies.
The company also directed e -mail users to an investigation image of examination of incoming messages, and not to share any information about the user, except after making sure of the validity of the request, with no pressure on any external software, which is sent randomly.
It is worth noting that many cyber security companies have emphasized the use of pirates and infiltrators methods of artificial intelligence models, based on the low cost, which leads to the rhythm of the user and the creation of stray campaigns.
