Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Trade, presided over the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain participating in the work of the global investment summit in Kerala Global Summit, held in Kochi, Kiush Different around the world.
The Minister delivered a major speech during the opening, in which he stressed the depth of historical relations between Bahrain and India, which witnessed a growing development in various fields, expressing the Kingdom’s aspiration to strengthen these ties to advance the wheel of innovation and entrepreneurship, in a way that benefits the people of the two friendly countries.
The Minister pointed out that the Kingdom of Bahrain, with its strategic location in the heart of the Arabian Gulf, is a major gateway to reach the markets of the Middle East and the world, supported by economic policies stimulating to attract foreign investment, diversify the industrial sectors, and accelerate digital transformation. It also highlighted the attractive organizational environment in the Kingdom, which includes 100%foreign ownership empowerment, simplifying commercial procedures, and ensuring ease of business.
During his speech, the Minister reviewed the promising opportunities in the Bahraini economic sectors, such as advanced manufacturing, financial technology, sustainable energy, and manufacturing industries, supporting the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy and create strategic partnerships. He also called on entrepreneurs and investors from Kerala state to benefit from the industrial areas with advanced infrastructure, and free trade agreements that allow reaching regional and global markets.
Four main main sectors of joint cooperation, namely: technology and digitization, where Bahrain encourages startups and Kerala information technology companies to establish regional centers in the Kingdom. He also pointed to the industrial and industry sector, through which the advanced Bahraini infrastructure can be used to create competitive manufacturing and export operations. In the field of food security and agriculture, his happiness stressed the importance of cooperation in the fields of agricultural technology and sustainability solutions. Finally, he touched on the tourism and hospitality sector, where joint projects can be developed in health tourism and cultural exchange.
The Minister concluded his speech by emphasizing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to continue to strengthen cooperation with India in general and Kerala in particular, by removing commercial barriers and simplifying procedures, which will contribute to the launch of joint projects that benefit from the competitive advantages of both sides.
On the other hand, Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Trade, met Benarai Vigaian, Prime Minister of the Indian state of Kerala, Bush Goyal, Minister of Trade and Industry in the Republic of India, and B -Rajif, Minister of Industry and Law in the Indian state of Kerala, and Youssef Ali, Chairman and Managing Director of Lulu International Group.
It should be noted that the summit, organized by the Industrial Development Foundation for Kerala, is an initiative to attract local and international investments in the major growth sectors, such as tourism, financial technology, health innovation, and sustainable industries. Its activities include dialogue sessions and investment offers aimed at building long -term partnerships that enhance comprehensive economic development.
