The Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Administration of Civil Defense, affirmed its keenness on the participation of the countries of the world to celebrate the International Day of Civil Defense, which falls on the first of March every year, in order to highlight the most important areas of humanitarian and operational civil defense work and enhance its role in upgrading their professional performance, noting that it worked to raise the level of performance this year through some activities, events and interactive workshops that aim to raise the level of preventive awareness Citizens and residents, and also worked to involve a number of national sectors in order to enhance the concept of participatory parties.
The General Administration of Civil Defense worked to celebrate this day every year, through the participation of all concerned authorities from the public and private sectors, where the General Administration of Civil Defense in the Kingdom of Bahrain updates and develops mechanisms, equipment and human cadres, in order to keep pace with the progress that the Kingdom of Bahrain has reached in all sectors and for the civil defense to support the national economy system and maintain national achievements.
The Civil Defense plays a fundamental role in reducing losses in lives and property and confronting various conditions and conditions, whether in disasters, major accidents or emergency security conditions.
In order to achieve the principle of partnership, the administration works to prepare and prepare civil competencies to prevent disasters, and to encourage the formation of volunteer teams and train them in rescue operations to be a synonym for civil defense teams, especially in disasters that require the speed of intervention, and that the qualification of civil society institutions will increase the level of awareness and how to act when disasters occur and deal with them, especially preparing for the possibility of their occurrence, and initiating the appropriate behavior to reduce losses, In addition to increasing the efficiency and organization of rescue operations.
