On Monday, the pioneers of social media circulated a video of the Mufti of Syria during the era of former President Bashar al -Assad, Ahmed Badr al -Din Hassoun in the city of Aleppo.
Hassoun, who held the position of Mufti of Syria during the period from 2005 to 2023, appeared in the first video in an unknown place, where one of the people who spoke in the clip as a “mufti of the system barrels described it.”
Hassoun responded to the person, saying: “I do not allow you to invite me to do so. My name is Dr. Ahmed Hassoun.”
Hassoun added that he had previously entered the prisons of the Assad regime three times.
In the second video, Hassoun appeared while he was in a car, to approach people and say to him: “O woe to God” and “God will take revenge on you.”
Hassoun did not respond to the people in the second video, but continued his walk according to the video circulating on the communication sites.
Hassoun is considered one of the most prominent clerics who supported former President Bashar al -Assad during the years of the civil war in Syria.
Hassoun was statements and positions supportive of the previous regime, as it was constantly appearing alongside Assad on the religious occasions and celebrations.
