Today, Wednesday, 26/225/26/2025, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics released the initial data of the record for the production of manufacturing and extractive industries for the month of December 2024.
The device has caused the record methodology using the 2012/2013 basis year and at the level of records for industrial activity according to the ISIC ReV.4 and the use of the monthly record (for producers on the basis of 2012/2013) since January 2020.
The record for manufacturing and extractive industries (without crude oil and petroleum products) reached 118.05 during the month of December 2024 (primary) compared to 109.05 during the month of November 2024 (final) by an increase of 8.25%.
Economic activities that witnessed a rise
• The record for the paper industry and its products reached 79.72 during the month of December 2024 compared to the month of November 2024, reaching 75.08, at a rate of 6.19 %, to increase the printing of external books.
• The record for the manufacture of electrical appliances reached 95.61 during the month of December 2024 compared to the month of November 2024, reaching 93.28, with an increase of 2.50 %, according to the market needs.
Economic activities that witnessed a decrease
• The record for the food products industry reached 114.69 during the month of December 2024 compared to November 2024, when it reached 119.47, a decrease of 4.00 %, according to the supply and demand.
• The record for the manufacture of tobacco products reached 166.95 during the month of December 2024 compared to the month of November 2024, reaching 172.47, a decrease of 3.20 %, according to the market needs.
