The government’s bill regarding the organization of the Mineral Resources and Mineral Industries Authority has set 6 specializations for the authority, most notably the issuance of licenses for raw material analysis laboratories.
6 Specializations for the Mineral Resources and Mineral Resources Authority
The competencies of the following body include:
Setting a comprehensive strategy to regulate surveying, research, detection, geological and mineral evaluation, including preparing laboratory studies and related geological and mining maps.
– Preparing an integrated plan to develop the infrastructure of the mining sector, and linking it to the strategic state plans to maximize the benefit of mineral wealth, while continuing its implementation to ensure the achievement of the desired goals.
– Establishing a national strategy to localize mining industries in coordination with the concerned authorities, which includes the implementation of projects that depend on the exploitation of local mining raw materials to maximize their added value, and to develop a program to train and qualify human cadres necessary to support the mining sector.
– The authority shall organize searches for mines and exploit them, provide control over all activities related to them, and technical supervision of their extraction operations.
– Approval of issuing licenses to operate the processing and analysis of mining raw materials and rocks, in preparation for issuing their decision to approve them from the minister concerned with mineral wealth affairs, in accordance with the controls and procedures stipulated.
– Establishing a system for control and follow -up on searches and exploitation of miners, and other mining processes.
